On agitation, turbulence, desire, architectural optimism and Constant's New Babylon

The always bedazzling BLDBLG has been running some great interviews lately:
this one with Ole Bouman, and particularly this one with Mark Wigley are outstanding.
Wigley is, as always, a delight to read-hear, and it is worth checking the whole thing through, they even get to talk about Constant's New Babylon in the end.
But the best part of their conversation could be described as this: the major, real task of architects would be to invent new, unsolicited forms of optimism.
